Utilizing a reinforced Thunderbolt® core, this bit features a thicker web that provides significantly greater strength and resists breakage under heavy side-loading. The parabolic flute geometry is optimized for rapid chip evacuation, preventing heat buildup and extending the life of the cutting edge. With a 135-degree split point, the bit engages the workpiece immediately on contact, eliminating the need for center punching and preventing the bit from walking across the surface. The 1/2-inch reduced shank features three milled flats, ensuring a secure, non-slip connection in standard drill chucks, which is critical when driving larger diameters through dense alloys.
